Dr. Lisa Murley is currently serving as Assistant Professor in the School of Teacher Education at Western Kentucky University where she teaches classroom teaching strategies, teacher leadership, and unit planning courses. She is a state trainer for the Kentucky Teacher Internship Program and supervises teacher interns through the intern process. She recently traveled to Beijing, China and presented training on the Kentucky Teacher Standards to Chinese teachers who are part of the WKU Confucius Institute. Prior to her work at WKU she served 22 years in public schools as an elementary teacher and a Curriculum Coordinator. She has also served as a Core Curriculum Consultant for the Kentucky Department of Education working with schools throughout the state to align curriculum to state standards, create assessments, and design instructional strategies based upon student learning results. She received her PhD from the University of Louisville.
